Vanessa and Taylor

Vanessa and Taylor's wedding was timeless, elevated, and intentional. They wanted beautiful portraits without spending hours away from their friends and family. They prioritized candid moments and quality time with the people they love most.

We shot their wedding at The Arlington Estate in Caledon, Ontario—one of the most prestigious venues in the province. The sprawling property and stunning architecture were the perfect backdrop for their elegant vision.

Both former athletes, Vanessa and Taylor are incredibly close with their bridal party and families. We kept portrait sessions short so they could maximize time with everyone. Their mid-August wedding showcased the venue's beautiful scenery—the willow tree, the architecture, and elevation changes that gave us creative angles and perspectives.

What stood out most was their connection with their guests. The love and respect in the room were undeniable. You could tell how much they meant to everyone there.

One challenge was keeping Vanessa and Taylor apart before the ceremony. We photographed the bride and bridesmaids outside in a shaded area while simultaneously capturing the groom and groomsmen inside—carefully coordinating so they never crossed paths.

My favorite moment was our 15-20 minute golden hour session. We walked the upper grounds and captured some of my favorite images from the entire year, mixing in editorial hard-flash shots that became Vanessa and Taylor's favorites too.

Something especially important to Vanessa was how we edited their skin tones. She wanted her skin to look glowy and beautiful while staying true to life—not altered or lightened. That authenticity mattered, and I'm proud we delivered exactly that.

The night ended with a spectacular four-minute firework show. Vanessa and Taylor watched from the balcony, surrounded by their guests. We rarely see fireworks at weddings, let alone shows this long. It was the perfect finale.
