Ash and Gill

I first met Ash through a friend of a friend while on a hike in BC. Ash was absolutely smitten by this beautiful girl named Gill back in Toronto, and he couldn’t wait to see her when his vacation was over.

After a few months, he and Gill reached out to do their engagement photos with me. They frequently visited the distillery district to check out all the cute shops and warm up with a hot coffee. I love shooting at the distillery district, so that was a no-brainer decision for me.

The Distillery District features quaint 19th-century buildings that once housed a large whiskey distillery, drawing crowds to its cobblestone streets lined with hip indie restaurants, bars, and boutiques. Art lovers come for the galleries, outdoor sculptures and dance, music, and stage performances at the area's several theatres. It’s beautiful for photos, a date night, or just to people-watch.

We ended this shoot with a very romantic shoot near the Chesthill lookout point to really put an exclamation point on a beautiful engagement shoot.
