You dont need to:
Perform on your wedding day
Waste precious time away from your family
Miss cocktail hour because you’re “Busy”
wonder “does this look awkward”
and spend your entire day
taking posed Photos that dont even feel like “you”
There is a better way.
Let us show you how
Let me introduce myself: I'm Mark, a wedding photographer based in Vancouver and Toronto who built a business around one simple belief—you shouldn't have to choose between being present and intentional on your wedding, and having beautiful photos to remember your wedding by
I started photographing weddings because I kept seeing couples spend their entire day performing for the camera. Missing cocktail hour for endless formal portraits. Feeling stiff and awkward. Spending more time posing than celebrating with the people who mattered most.
That never sat right with me.
In 2018, I knew there had to be a better way. I wanted something natural. Something editorial, yet timeless and authentic. A photographic approach that captures genuine emotion and allows you to actually experience your day. That's when EightTwoFour was born.
Our style is observational storytelling—candid documentation with gentle guidance. We're obsessive about beautiful light, sophisticated composition, and refined details. After the wedding, we craft your love story into a cohesive gallery that feels both editorial and effortlessly you, because storytelling is much more than a collection of beautiful shots.
What fuels me most is working with couples who care deeply about the experience they're creating. In 30 years, you'll want to relive this day with old friends, new friends, and future generations. Being able to do that? That's priceless.
The Experience
Not sure what to do with your hands?
You're probably the couple who gets anxious about being photographed—you're not sure what to do with your hands, and the idea of "posing" makes you cringe. Here's the good news: we've built our entire approach around making you feel comfortable. We give you gentle prompts that lead to natural movement and genuine interaction (think less "smile at the camera" and more "whisper something that'll make your partner laugh"). We know you want those stunning, refined portraits where everything looks perfect and timeless—and because of our experience and system, we only need about 20 minutes to get them. You'll feel at ease, look natural, and actually enjoy being photographed. Then you're back to your celebration while other couples are still stuck in their portrait session.
